Get Out (2017)
Title: Get Out (2017)
Classification: R18+
Running time: 1h
44min
Genre: Horror, Mystery
Description: When
it’s time for a young African American man to meet his white girlfriend’s
parent’s estate for a weekend deep into the woods, he becomes trapped in a more
sinister plot that later transforms itself into a nightmare.
Review: Get out
is a thought-provoking unorthodox horror-thriller that could now see itself as
a game changer for the genre as it proves you don’t need guns, clowns or ghosts
to keep people on the edge of their seat. Not only is Get Out a great films as
well as debut feature for its director Jordan Peele, the movie also illustrates
cunning ideas about racial alienation as well as provides a thoughtful,
compassionate look at race.
Rating: 7.7/10
