Title: Romeo + Julie (1996) Classification: PG Running time: 2h Genre: Drama, Romance Description:  This film is a modern and innovative adaptation of one of Shakespeare's famous plays and love stories, Romeo & Juliet.  It follows the classic story of Romeo & Juliet although in a modern day city of Verona Beach Review: This is a passionate and pacy film, geared for a modern audience. The play has been completely reinvented with the original remains of the play only found in the dialogue of the film. Because of the old english language, at times the film can be hard to follow. However, the adaptation in beautifully integrated and is thrilling, contemporary and presents a major shakespearean theme of Chaos. This film is one to watch! Title:  John Wick 2014 Classification: R Running time: 1h 41min Genre:  Action, Crime, Thriller Description:  The most feared ex-hitman is forced out of retirement to track down the son of a Russian mob who took everything from him. Keanu Reeves stars in this blood filled adventure which will have you asking for more and more action. Review: Although the movie lacks a solid plot line, the spectacular action choreography in this film definitely makes John Wick worth the watch. Not only does it highlight that actions do speak louder than words, this film does a solid job of showing how deadly a professional hit-man can be when there isn't any mercy or plot shields. Watch Keanu Reeves let all hell break when a Russian gangster does the unthinkable - kill his dog. Review:  Not your typical spy movie, ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’ shows the audience what happens when villains make realistic choices, and although some parts may not make sense this movie is whole lot of unstoppable fun bodying a different type of spy genre. So follow Eggsy as he matures not only as a better spy, but ultimately becomes a better man on his adventure to save the world… and a princess! Review:  Probably the best Star Wars film since ‘The Empire Strikes Back’, not only does this movie bridge the gap between episodes three and four but it also gives us a little realistic insight of how things went down when they weren’t dictated by who had the better lightsabre skills and how a little hope could save all that could be lost. The movie is also topped off with a cameo by the dark lord himself! Wonder Woman Review (2017)

6.Wonder Woman - (2017) - Running Time - 2 Hours, 21 Minutes, (Fantasy/Fiction Genre) Review: This light hearted and descriptive origin story of the classic Wonder Woman DC Character guides with an understanding of how the character developed and found herself in the light of the circumstances of war and greed. Gal Gadot sports a well proportioned costume that denotes the notion of sexism that is overtly used in comic books and science fiction genres that depict women through a notion of sexism, to intrigue viewers. The plot overall, is enticing and does not foreshadow any outcome with the film that subsequently led to the plot twist being both unparalleled and unexpected, leading this movie to be one of a kind.  Rating: 8.5/10 - RATING - M (Moderate)

Batman V Superman Review (2016)

5.Batman Vs Superman (2016) - Running Time - 3 Hours, 3 Minutes (Fantasy/Fiction Genre) Review: This intriguing Comic movie starring henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman introduces these two heroes together and furthermore forms the plot as to how these two heroes will battle for superiority based off Lex Luthor’s ill command. The film involves large production budget that properly depicts the abilities of each heroes capability and also unifies both heroes through the same purpose of their duty to begin with. To conclude, the film not only unifies both heroes but also features Gal Gadot whom plays WonderWoman whom is a delight to the horror and tragic circumstances that ensues in conclusion of the plot.  Rating: 7.4/10 - RATING - M (Moderate)

Suicide Squad Review (2016)

4. Suicide Squad (2016) - Running Time - 2 Hours, 17 Minutes,  (Fantasy/Fiction Genre) Review: This Gritty and dark comic based film stars a large use of comic book characters such as The Joker, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Boomerang, El Diablo, Deadshot, Enchantress etc. The film entails and commences with the ‘bad’ team members being incarcerated in a high security prison for the betterment and safety of society due to their history, yet through a rebel in the society, the government chooses to formulate a group of villains to combat the villains themselves as these individuals are already equipped and know how to rebel and also know the ways in which to combat this issue. The film overly sexualises the character Harley Quinn and steers from the classic adaptation of the character where she is merely an assistant, whereas in the film she is depicted with incredible endurance and shooting skill.  Rating: 4.5/10 - RATING: PG 13+

Catwoman Review (2004)

3. Catwoman (2004) - Running Time - 1 Hour, 44 Minutes (Fantasy/Thriller Genre)  Review : Catwoman encapsulates the independent woman and the stereotypical ‘bad girl’ the comic fans dream to sight. Halle Berry delivers in this performance with her sly yet captivating moves that corporate intrinsic combat skill, cat-like flexibility and exceptional gymnastic skills. The downfall of this film is the poor plot that over shadows the immense effort Halle had performed throughout the film. In short, Catwoman the protagonist whom is not a reflection of the actual character published by DC comics, seeks revenge against her former boss whom murders Miss Kyle, and creates a makeup with formula that can ultimately destroy the human race through the use of harmful chemicals used in the process of creating the product.  Rating: 6.5/10 - RATING: M (moderate)

The Dark Knight Rises Review (2012)

The Dark Knight Rises (2012) - Running Time - 2 Hours, 45 Minutes (Thriller/Action Genre)  Review : This dark comic film stars various well known and fan affiliated Batman characters such as Bane, Talia Al Ghul that consistently appear through out the film. This great piece encapsulates the correct conclusive ending that rightfully suits the narrative of Batman, taking into consideration age, etc. The plot was enticing and intriguing that did not foreshadow the ending or result. The highlight of the film is indeed, Selina Kyle aka Catwoman whom fashioned her multi faceted sides with her contrasting expert cat-burglar skills at night, an innocent victim when questioned, yet an extremely dangerous Martial Artist when approached in combat. This film is indeed a treat to all public that enjoy a well directed film with passion, and determination.  Rating: 10/10 - RATING: PG 13+

The film is about a retired police officer who is required to eliminate four escaped replicants, who are synthetic human beings, who have escaped from the ‘colonies’ and are hiding in planet Earth. Review: The film “Blade Runner” is a successful example of the ways in which the importance of nature is a timeless concern. The immediate impression from the film is a world suffering due to a loss of nature, which has been destroyed by man. When the film was made in 1992, industrial development and urbanisation were flourishing. The film showcases the enduring question of the impact which scientific advancements may have on our lives in the future. The film presents as a warning against unrestrained scientific and technological advancement, the importance of nature and the consequenc

Review: The Kite Runner is a film about friendship, betrayal and the price of loyalty. The use of symbolism through the film adds a deeper layer of meaning to the film. Title:  Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2012) Classification: M Running time: 2h 10min Genre: Drama, Mystery Description: The film is of an individual memory of the events of 9/11 through the eyes of a nine year old boy with Asperger's Syndrome, who's father was in the World Trade Centre on 9/11 and died. Review: By focusing the tragedy of that day into one boys experience, the film allows us to connect with the event on a more personal level. Through the innocent perspective of a child, the event is recalled as being “the worst day” used to describe life and after. By narrating from a child's view, the simplicity and goodness of a child is contrasted with terror. This is incredibly captivating for the audience and establishes an emotional connection between the audience and characters.
